Below is a checklist of how to optimise your website:    * Use keyword phrases in Title meta tag. Avoid using “stop words” – like “and” “in” “the” “of” – so the keyword phrases will not be diluted.    * Use keyword phrases in description meta tags as well but write these more as a marketing communication or with a call to action to give readers incentive to visit your website, since they aren’t referenced as much by search engines.    * Use keyword phrases in H1, H2, H3 tags – the header and sub-headers – as well. Search engines expect these to appear in a nested fashion as you go down the page.    * Bold, italicize and underline keyword phrases whenever possible.    * Use keyword phrases in ALT text for images and include keyword phrases in image names but make the naming seem natural. i.e. keyword_image_logo.gif instead of just keyword.gif.    * Use keyword phrases as names of directories and files, or part of names of directories and files, whenever possible.    * Sprinkle your keyword phrase – the long-tailed one which includes your primary keyword phrase – throughout the site but don’t keyword stuff. With regard to targeting several keyword phrases at once, your long-tailed keyword phrases must appear only twice or thrice for every 100 words in the actual “human-readable” content for every page – this is called keyword density, and keep this at 2% to 3%.    * The meta-description of your webpage may be the most important one to be optimised. The search engines display this to their visitors. Your meta-description must contain your most important keyword phrases (about three or four of them), and invites the reader to go and check your website! If you are offering some kind of a freebie for visitors, the meta-description is a great place to mention it. Who is Jayson Guevarra – The Quest Begins

This is Jayson Guevarra, online marketer from the Philippines, the husband of Maria Melissa and the father of Noe. I am currently a member of widely-recognized organizations of practical and active Catholic Christian lay people — “Couples for Christ” and a newly-established council of “Knights of Columbus” in our locale. I just want to convey that I always do my best to be an “open book”. More than being a marketer, I see to it that I am credible in each stuff I am involved with. Writing is a passion of mine, and eventually this becomes my entry point in the world of earning online as I am paid to write for web content way back in the early 2000’s. Writing high quality articles has been my bread and butter. What eats up a lot of my time, though, is the researching part.
